Marketing Insights and Analysis
I am a curious, passionate explorer of places and people.
At work, I try to help people identify, learn and develop relationships that promote their objectives through the use of technology. I help people build insights and form connections.
At home, wherever that may be, I try to accomplish the same for myself. I strive to understand people on an individual level. When not at work, I can be found exploring country roads, talking with locals, and enjoying my surroundings. Technology allows me to share my experiences and stay connected with friends and family that may be thousands of miles apart.
In my journeys, I have been fortunate to meet and make friends with many incredible people. I respect and enjoy people that are also curious, collaborative, intelligent, passionate, strong-willed, funny, motivated and who believe they have the ability to accomplish whatever they set out to do.
My main companion in my travels is Gus, the free-spirited mighty squirrel hunter.
About Shrugged
Shrugged refers to the book, “Atlas Shrugged,” by Ayn Rand, which argues against the excessive taxation and regulation of industry that effectively nationalizes companies. Ignoring the idealistic limitations of objectivism, notably the lack of faith and benefit of common human interaction, I find the central arguments of justice, entreprenuership, competition, and self-reliance still highly relevant in a day where we face repression of classes disguised through entitlement programs, wealth redistribution through increasingly heavy governmental regulations, and class elitism based on social status and pseudo intellectualism, and not the capabilitiy of a man.
Information is essential in generating good insights, but it cannot be a crutch in making decisions. The posts here are intended to explore and are not perfect, but that's part of the point.

Hi Rob,
Enjoyed all you photos and commentary about life, particularly in Milwaukee. It’s interesting about the grumpy old folks. I suspect it has more to do with being in a city than anything else–out in the small towns/country, they’re probably less grumpy. (I’m a Michigander originally.)
I have a question: I got to your blog because I’ve been looking for photos of the Harley-Davidson factory for a training program I’m doing at work (Boeing in Portland, Oregon). This is an internal training program only, not to be sold for profit or anything, that highlights how well Harley-Davidson is doing in implementing Lean Manufacturing methods. We’d just like to have a visual to go along with all the talk about efficiency, safety and so on. Yours is the best photo I have come across that isn’t a commercial one H-D is unlikely to share.
What do you think?
BTW, if you want spectacular scenery, you really have to try Oregon. After years in the mideastern states, I feel like I’m in Paradise here.
